Inspiration? He stands for something more... YEAH like fulfilling revenge fantasies.
This is what keeps the "Dark Knight" from reaching greatness as a film.
Taking the easy road. Bailing out on the truth is the best option in fighting evil justice. Throw justice out the window when it comes to battling the likes of the Joker.
