Oh man did you see this about Ms Nicole Ya-Kiddinman. This took up five minutes of local news last night...FIVE MINUTES! This story was neither news nor local..what it had was video of the crash. Big deal! During this Winter of '06-'07 -->what person in what part of the US of A hasn't seen video of a vehicle "slip-sliding away". It was a celebrity, granted in this celeb-fixated Omniculture that makes it interesting but ...news. People please, get a grip and by people I'm talking about news editors everywhere. There are many topics worthy (War, Darfur or local folks working the poor..how about new discoveries in science and health) of five minutes coverage on the air. Leave this "news" to entertainment shows and popular gossip mags. Just post the crashing movie star on your news site as a podcast for folks to download. Then move on, inform us on current events and be a partner in educating us on common sense ideas that help solve real issues.
If that's not possible at least show the file footage of the water-skiing squirrel... now that never gets old.
