A Friday in July...some folks question why if a blog is called Panning Pundits there is very little discussion, much less panning, of punditry going on...
There is little new to say about political commentary Many Pundits simply echo each others point. Watch any news cxhannel. On the Situation, Hardball, Special Report Pundits within the same ideascape rarely question each other on air to see where their facts come from. It would be nice to see One LOC tell another LOC "I disagree and let me cite (insert valid information here) as the reason why..". How about One ROC asking his or her ROC brethren "How far must we go to satisfy the base in our party...?" Perhaps when the Discussion becomes new, interesting and honest (a honest"i don't know what do you folks think?" from fred barnes, jonathon alter and others would be refreshing) Panning Pundits will start to comment in a more timely incisive manner. Actually not holding out much hope but ya nevah no. But for now, honestly, look elsewhere for the rote repetition of the vapid insights and inflammatory comments by the PunPolitical NonIndustrial Complex.
